An international leader in nursing ethics, in 2014 Dr. Rushton co-led the first National Nursing Ethics Summit, convened by the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and School of Nursing. The Summit, supported by strategic partners from 9 national nursing organizations and 7 collaborating organizations, developed a Blueprint for 21st Century Nursing Ethics. The Blueprint highlights recommendations for clinical practice, education, policy and research and has been a catalyst for strategic action coinciding with the American Nurses Association 2015 designation of the “Year of Ethics”. Dr. Rushton’s current scholarship in clinical ethics focuses on moral distress and suffering of clinicians, the development of moral resilience, designing a culture of ethical practice, and conceptual foundations of integrity, respect, trust and compassion.
Dr. Nallamshetty is also the President of Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) and has served on the Executive Board of Directors of RAF since 2011. As President, he oversees the hospital, outpatient, and teleradiology practice operations, imaging utilization, quality, strategic planning, and growth. RAF is currently composed of 110+ board-certified radiologists who provide diagnostic and interventional radiology services throughout Florida and are the primary teaching faculty for the University of South Florida (USF). RAF physicians are JV owners of Tower Radiology, a network of 18 outpatient diagnostic imaging centers in the Tampa Bay region with 400+ support teammates.
Dr. Nallamshetty is triple board-certified and has been named as one of the “Best Doctors in America and Tampa Bay” for the 10+ past consecutive years. He serves as the Chief of Staff for Tampa General Hospital, a 1100+ bed, level 1, quaternary referral center. TGH has 1600+ medical staff members and is ranked the #1 hospital in Tampa Bay and top 50 nationally in 6 specialties. At USF, he is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Cardiology and director of Cardiac Imaging. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of cardiac and vascular imaging. Dr. Nallamshetty is truly excited to be part of the mission to transform radiology and elevate the services that we provide our patients and health care partners.
She received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from George Washington University in 2002. She then completed 3 years of a General Surgical Categorical residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. From 2005 to 2006, she completed a Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed a Dermatology residency and an additional year of dermatologic research graduating in 2010 from the University of California, Irvine. After their Dermatology residency, she completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, London, the UK in 2011.
Dr. Ludwig is a fellow of The Obesity Society and recipient of the E.V. McCollum Award (2008) of the American Society for Nutrition. He is Principal Investigator on numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health, has published over 150 scientific articles, and serves as Contributing Writer for JAMA. Dr. Ludwig is the author of a book on childhood obesity for parents (Ending the Food Fight: Guide Your Child to a Healthy Weight in a Fast Food/Fake Food World Houghton Mifflin, 2007). His latest book, for a general audience, is entitled Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells, and Lose Weight Permanently (Grand Central Publishing, January 2016). He appears frequently in national print and broadcast media.
