Like many places in the US, the best time of year to visit Las Vegas is in the spring and late fall. The average high temperatures during this time of year range from the 70s to the upper 80s. Las Vegas is located in the desert, and summer highs can reach over 100 degrees F. Temperatures drop in the evenings, so bring layers of clothing.
Las Vegas is home to McCarran International Airport. There are airport shuttles available to take you to your hotel on the Strip or downtown, averaging about $10 one way. Taxis are the main form of transportation in Las Vegas, and ride sharing options such as Uber and Lyft are a popular way to get around as well. The Las Vegas Monorail stops at seven points along the strip including the Las Vegas Convention Center. Day passes are available for $12. The public transportation option is bus service called the Deuce.
Where to Eat
Restaurants are everywhere in Vegas, so you have almost unlimited options. Try a buffet at one of the casinos or visit one of the many restaurants featuring celebrity chefs. Here are a few of our recommendations for something to try when you get a break from the conference.

There is no shortage of things to do in Las Vegas after hours. It is a gambling town and the casinos are open 24/7. Want something other than gambling? Take in one of the many world-class shows in town. Book tickets to see your favorite singer, comedy show, magic show, or Cirque de Soleil. Many performers have permanent shows at the hotels on the Strip.
Many of the amazing resort casinos also feature their own shopping malls. Check out the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, or the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Bargains can be found at the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, or the Las Vegas Premium Outlets. For fans of History Channel’s “Pawn Stars,” visit the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. There is also The Coca-Cola Store and M&M’s World on the Strip.
